FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Functions

Department of Testing and Quality Assurance has two core functions: Testing and Quality Assurance.

Testing: Organizes and manages examinations and assessments; develops and maintains question banks; applies information technology to manage learning outcomes; and administers diplomas and certificates.

Quality Assurance: Advises the University Management Board on the quality assurance system; conducts self-assessment and educational quality accreditation at both program and institutional levels in accordance with national and international standards.

2. Responsibilities

The Office’s responsibilities are organized into the following key areas:

Testing and Assessment

Examination Administration: Manages the full examination process, including test development, printing, security, invigilation, marking, and score entry.

Data Management: Manages question banks; archives and secures examination papers and results; and serves as the University’s official focal point for examination records.

Assessment Quality Control: Verifies marking accuracy, conducts random checks of marking results, and coordinates the review and improvement of assessment methods in alignment with learning outcomes.

External Coordination: Organizes competency assessments and international-standard exit examinations.

Quality Assurance

Self-Assessment and Accreditation: Develops plans and coordinates accreditation for academic programs in accordance with national standards (MOET) and international standards (AUN-QA, FIBAA, ABET, etc.).

Monitoring and Improvement: Guides and monitors quality assurance activities across faculties; measures program learning outcome attainment.

Stakeholder Surveys: Conducts satisfaction surveys among students, lecturers, alumni, and employers to support reporting and improvement initiatives.

Internal Training: Organizes training activities to enhance quality assurance awareness among staff, lecturers, and students.

Diploma and Certificate Management

Oversees the printing and management of diploma templates; issues diplomas, certificates, and copies; and verifies qualifications upon request from external organizations.

In addition, the Office prepares periodic reports, promotes the application of digital technology, and contributes to the development of an ISO-based quality management system.
